In recent years, as the increasingly high demands from shipman on the ship's stability, sea-keeping, the trimaran has recently been attracting the world's attention as a new ship type of good capability. Because of its particular type, good capability and technical and tactical performance, the trimaran will have wide application future in the fields of warship and civil ship, and is even thought to be Tri-aircraft carrier. Like ordinary ships, when sailing in the water, it encounters a variety of wave loadings, and harmful vibration may also occur. Because of the complexity of ship structure and its exterior loads, the analysis of its structure is more complicated than monohull, catamaran, so the research of design is still limited, and there are no corresponding rules for trimaran in the world. The characteristics of the catamaran, multi-hull-ship, and M-form-ship, and Timoshenko beam theory and transfer matrix method, have been introduced in this thesis. A relatively ideal method of analyzing multi-hull-ship has been summarized by combining Timoshenko beam theory with transfer matrix method, which will be applied to the hydroelastic analysis. By analyzing a single-hull-beam, using transfer matrix method to solve as a whole in considering the three-hull-beam, analyzing vibration problems in the dry-modal, and simplifying the wave force to the nodal force, that the natural frequency can be obtained. By comparing the theoretical and experimental data, it's a relatively ideal method in analyzing the multi-hull-ship's coupling vibration problems of this thesis, which provides a clear thinking direction in multi-hull-ship's further study.Being inspired by the new ship type, and based on past SWATH analysis experience of loading response of wave, a Tri/SWATH model has been designed in this thesis, and its numerical simulation of response of wave can also be achieved. Finally, by using ANSYS software the response from the wave loading can be analyzed. This thesis provides a reference for the trimaran structural design in the future.
