Blushless DC motor (BLDCM) is a typical high-tech product which is integrated with electronics and motors. With its small size, light weight, high efficiency, high control precision small inertia and maintaining the normal DC motor's excellent mechanical properties, BLDCM is widely used in servo control systems, numerical control machine tools, robots and other fields. The performances of BLDCM control system's requirements are continue to increase for the rapid development of modern industry. Therefore, study of the characteristics of the BLDCM and its control theory is not only for the production process, but also can be a subject for postgraduate student to in-depth study.This paper designed a low-power permanent magnet blushless DC motor control system as an experimental platform. The main controller is the digital signal processor (DSP): TMS320LF2407A which is manufactured by Texas Instruments Company. The main hardware is based on motor drive experimental box: SY-MCK2407A V3.0 which is developed by Sanyi Company.The researches of this paper have been done are as follows:Firstly, paper summarizes the brushless DC motor's development status and trends, as well as the basic principle of brushless DC motor, composition links, operating characteristics and mathematical models. Secondly, analyses the hardware and software environment of the platform. Thirdly, designs the output of the four-switch three-phase PWM rectifier as the BLDCM's DC input voltage, in which way to study the new vector-based synthesis of four-switch three-phase PWM rectifier's performance and its theory. Finally, designs a sensorless BLDCM control system using a high-frequency signal injection method. The similarities and differences of the rotating high-frequency voltage injection method and pulsating high-frequency voltage injection method are discussed in details as well as the simulation comparison has been done. Simulation results show that using pulsating high-frequency voltage signal into the tracking system of salient-pole structure is simple, static and dynamic performance is better. But using the rotating high-frequency voltage signal injection method is easier to implement.The research results show that the experimental platform's performance is reliable and easy to use. In particularly, it can reduce the research cycle time and improve efficiency while researching the advance technologies the BLDCM motor control system related.
