Renewable energy development and utilization have been the most important problem in human history. In recent years, traditional energy crisis erupting and environment protection has been main contradiction with social development. Wind and solar energy both are of strong complement space and time distribution, and included in no pollution energy. The wind/photovoltaic (PV) hybrid power system could make full use of generated power, decrease cost, run stably, maintain easily and have long life expectancy. All of these make the study applicable and meaningful.First in this paper optimal control method in system maximum power utilization has been studied. Varied step disturb tracking method is used to realize wind turbine and solar panels maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Adaptive fuzzy method in optimal system maximum generation within MATLAB computer aided design improves dynamic characteristic function of wind/PV hybrid power system.Next, with meteorological observation, sum of wind energy and solar radiation can be obtained, energy distribution is calculated, so proper combination of wind and solar generation is fixed considered common household power usage. Price per kilowatt generation taken as the constant, annual total cost model was proposed and genetic algorithm (GA) was used to search global cost minimum solution,and system economic performance is effectively analyzed. MATLAB aided design is used to search and study the main factors affecting system cost and minimize the total cost.At last, control system hardware design is realized with STC89C52 microchip, include the main circuit, protecting circuit, temperature, voltage, current detect units, communication unit and step machine driving unit in solar energy tracking equipment. Control program software design is completed in C language. Visual Basic 6.0 is used to creating display interface of host station. Online detecting and controlling skill can keep the power system safely running. Simulating test can support the correct realizing of system charging method.
