The Status Survey And Programming Evaluation For Urban Green Space Of Prefecture-level City In Southern Sichuan

With the fast acceleration of urbanization and industrialization, the global ecological environment has been severely damaged, which has even endangered the living environment of humankind. Such crisis has started the review of the relationship among humankind, the nature and our future development. China proposes that the economic development approach should be transited to sustainable development approach, and strongly advocates the development of low-carbon economy. Facing the fierce competition between each other, all cities therefore continue to improve their competitiveness through the most effective and efficient methods. Moreover, the city residents request for improvement of their living environment. With the above consideration, urban green spaces are playing an increasingly important role in urban development with its rich and diverse functions. Urban green space system programming is the organization of green spaces with systematic approach, to formulate an reasonable green space in the city and achieve the various benefits of the green land. However, as the present urban green space system programming lacks in the planning standard, construction standards and evaluation standard, it cannot expatiate the urban green space system scientifically and simply. In this case, different cities look the same, lose their historical and geographical characteristics. The deep-seated reason relates with the lack of regional systematic programming and evaluation. Thus, it is indispensable to build a scientific programming and evaluation system of the regional urban green space.After referring a large number of documents, the author starts with the fundamental theories, uses knowledge from architecture, economics, sociology, ecology and aesthetics to study the service function, the benefit, the structure and ecological processes and evaluation system of the urban green space. Based on the former studies, this study uses more pertinent and practical indicators and analyses the effects of the area and per person area of green space, the layout of the green space to the environment, the economics and the society. By analysis of the comparison among different prefecture-level cities in southern Sichuan, this study forms a evaluation system. Finally, the study evaluates the green space programming in Luzhou and proposes some suggestions on the construction of urban green space system.
