Non-circular gear mechanism can animate the non-linear relationship between the drive and driven components. Compared with the other mechanism, which can perform movement, non-circular gear has some special merits. Such as structure is compact, rigidity's good, transmission is smooth and it is easily to achieve dynamic balance. One of the special non-circular gears is ellipse gear. We do some research just what we say belowOn the basis concept of non-circular gear, we get the formula of Ellipse gear's pitch curve. Analysis when the Ellipse gear's pitch curve is in circle and the condition when the pitch curve is Convexity, so that we can get the condition that the pitch curve doesn't appear Concave shape, the maximal pressing angle and the max modulus that do not undercut. By the formula of the non-circular gear's teeth, we plot the ellipse gear by VC.On the ground of the intensity formula of circle gear, we can deduct the intensity formula of ellipse gear, then we plot the curve which the stress followed the angle. On the basis of the normal calculation, we calculate the strength of a single tooth of gear, compared with the normal calculation.We do some research on the changing of inertia force; we conduct the formula of static balance from centrifugal inertia force's formula. Then we set up a model with the Pro/E, at last we do static simulation so we can get the result with which we can add or abstract some quantities on the proper position in order to achieve the static balance.In order to make the ellipse gear's transmission more compact, we do minmum design to it.
