The Parameterized Tool's Realization Of Automotive Body In The Concept Design Based On COMX

The paper analyses the task and characteristic of concept design phase and construct a new method to implement vehicle structure concept design tool based on template technique, knowledge engineering technique, parametric technique and date base technique. Realize the information integration of automotive parameterized analysis model and the body development platform. Allow designers to realize the conceptual design process for automotive body control in a unified environment, the design tool enables the integration of automotive concept body CAE and CAD. It improves the efficiency of the structure selection and the reliability of structural design.The COMX is based on the "Microkernel and Plug-in" development platform, and the module implement of automotive body in the concept design parameterized tool is developed on COMX. Create the template of car body by ACIS geometry sculpt technique, build the geometry model and finite element model and post-processing are used for the parameterized automotive body in the concept design phase based on the template technique. This design tool use the component function to create the implementation method and user dialog of every module, and the database was build by Spreadsheet technique. Mesh the parameterized model; add loading and constraint with the mesh generator module and pre-treatment module of COMX platform. And generate DAT document, it also integrate NX Nastran solver seamlessly to solve static structure solution. It will build post-process answer view for user. It adopts knowledge navigation technology, and the manipulation is very easy. So it improves the design efficiency of automotive body at phase of concept design and validates the design tool.
