With the development of the Micro-Electro-Mechanical system technologies, micro-satellite is going to high integration, small volume, light weight and low cost, with wide application prospects. A new design of the power system was presented on demand for the micro miniature pico-satellite. The solar adopted triple-junction GaAs solar cell of the highest efficiency inland. Effective filtering and testing were made to guarantee lithium battery reliability. Industrial device of large-scale integration and low consumption were widely used in this design of power conversion and distribution. The power system was modeled based on the features of the pico-satellite and the specific design of the power circuit. The on-orbit running parameters of the solar array, the battery and the load were calculated in real time, and the real-time voltage balance and energy balance were analyzed, which leaded to the practical simulation model of energy balance. A method of energy balance experiment based on the solar emulator was presented on demand for consolidating the analysis of the energy balance and proving the simulation of the energy balance. The simulation and experiment judged the energy balance by battery capacity variance. The result of simulation and experiment show that the satellite can fully attain energy balance under the normal condition. The result of testing indicated that, the volume of power system was 10cm×8cm×2cm, and the weight was less than 100g. The efficiency of power system was up to 88.7%.
