With the progress and development in human society, in the Loess Plateau region, human has built a large number of projects, and has accumulated rich experience in engineering technology. But the past Loess tunnel project for more than a small number of single-and two-lane, and the understanding of the constraints and the design theory of the large section of the loess tunnel design and construction technology research are rarely, the paper started its study in this point.The paper takes research on loess region tunnels on the basis of the status at home and abroad, from its design and construction experience, in light of China's Loess unique nature of the works, the first study of the Loess understand loess region pay attention to the design and construction matters. Secondly on the tunnel design theory, lastly, major section of the loess tunnel construction methods and supporting basic construction method discussed launched, and its applicability reviewed.This paper relies on the Nanshankou tunnel in Zhengzhou-xi'an Passenger Line engineering practice, and practices various construction technology in the design, linking theory with practice, the certification of the various advantages and disadvantages of the use of the thesis that in the Loess large section of the tunnel construction, highlighting that the establishment of an appropriate set of integrated geological early warning system is the premise to protect construction.In the concrete construction method, V-rock lots, compared with the method of CD, CRD, has the unique advantages of economy, rapid, and the characteristics of a security in the Nanshankou tunnel, so as the preferred option ,in the tunnel through the fault broken band, a long pipe roof, small catheter, such as grouting ahead of supporting rock advance of the Pre-consolidation, after a solid first dug in confined support, and at the closed-dug to a multiplier effect.lastly against the emergency of water burst,suddenly mud,landslides in loess areas of the tunnel ,the paper also tries to give some treatment measures.
