With the development of modern social and economic, the seismic performance of bridge structures have higher requirements, Requires not only to avoid the structure collapse under the earthquake, but also to minimize the post-earthquake restoration of the structure, as soon as possible to restore such structures. Bridge pier is the main load-bearing structural components, which plays an important role in the damage or injury on the bridge.Configuration of high strength steel for high strength concrete bridge pier experimental study on seismic behavior is not mature at home and abroad,this gives our bridge seismic design codes configured on the bridge pier design of high strength reinforced the terms of the actual project formulation and application of high strength steel bring inconvenience. This issue is a part of Beijing Municipal Education Commission funded, this configuration had six high strength reinforced concrete bridge pier model under cyclic loading test, analysis of the ductility factor and impact of the seismic performance, Study of its hysteresis curve, curve skeleton, steel strain curves, load capacity and energy dissipation, Calculated displacement of each specimen ductility and energy dissipation coefficient.According to the results the main conclusions is:The final destruction of all specimens in the form of bending type failure; Energy performance of each sample and ductility are not the same, but all samples have shown good ductility; High-strength longitudinal reinforcement should not be configured in bridge piers in excess; Configuration of high-strength stirrups help to improve the ductility and seismic performance of bridge piers; Improve the stirrup can improve the energy performance of bridge piers and Ductility.Finally, the article also derived a displacement ductility formula on on the strength of reinforced concrete pier.
