Research On Road Performance And Applications Of High Elastic Modified Asphalt Mixture

With the growth of the volume of traffic, excess axle load, canalization of traffic, continuity of high temperatures and other factors, rutting has become one of the most serious early damage of asphalt pavement. The anti-rutting performance of asphalt pavement has been the hot and tough research in the field of asphalt pavement engineering at home and abroad. High elastic modified asphalt mixture, as a new type of road surface material, has excellent anti-rutting performance and property of absorbed/diffused-stress, which can effectively improve the high temperature stability and low temperature crack resistance of asphalt pavement, and prolong the life of the road.This paper mainly involves the properties of high elastic modified asphalt, and forth aspects of high elastic modified asphalt mixture such as mix design method, road performance, construction technology and evaluation of economic and social benefits.The properties of high elastic modified asphalt mainly include high temperature performance, low-temperature properties, elastic recovery performance, temperature sensitivity, storage stability and aging properties; the road performance of high elastic modified asphalt mixture mainly includes high-temperature properties, low-temperature properties, water stability, fatigue properties, dynamic modulus and using performance; then a comprehensive comparison between high elastic modified asphalt and normal SBS modified asphalt would be made; construction technology of high elastic modified asphalt major study the temperature and time of producing, mixing, paving and compacting asphalt mixture, and the technical parameters of construction and quality control standards; using the whole life cycle cost analysis evaluate the economic benefits of high elastic modified asphalt.According to the results based on laboratory test, experiment pavement would be paved to track and monitor the pavement performance of high elasticity of modified asphalt mixtures.Finally, the comprehensive evaluation of high elastic modified asphalt pavement, such as road performance, using performance, durability and economy, has been made, in order to provide a basis and reference for promoting and applying high elastic modified asphalt.
