The wind generation is a random, intermittent and uncontrollable energy source, the large-scale connection of wind farms with power grid has adverse effect on the safety of power system. The probabilistic load flow method can fully taken into account the randomicity of wind farm, which can give much more useful information for the dispatch department's decision-making and planning. This paper proposed an AC probabilistic load flow model and built a probabilistic model for different wind farms, and then calculated the probabilistic load flow for power grid containing wind farms by using the cumulants and Gram-Charlier expansion theory. Case studies of IEEE 30-node system were calculated to analyze the impact of random elements, the compared result showed the proposed method has much higher speed and a higher degree of accuracy. After that, the probabilistic load flow calculation for IEEE 30-node system containing different kinds of wind farms were carrying out, the variations of nodal voltages and line flows before and after the connection of wind farms with power grid is compared and analyzed.
