The PWR (pressurized water reactor) had been becoming increasingly popular in the nuclear dominated countries for its economy and security. One scheme of arrangement for the large-scale advanced PWR's primary circuit was proposed with four inlets, four outlets, and two steam generators in the main coolant loop. The structure features of the RV (reactor vessel) and the SG (steam generator) used in this scheme were also elaborated. This paper validated the superiority of the scheme proposed in this article from the perspective of numerical analysis by means of comparison of the flow filed distribution in the upper plenum, the thermal hydraulic performance of the baffle and the tube sheet of the SG, and the stress distribution of the main vessel's wall near the nozzles and the lower header of the SG between the AP1000 system and the scheme presented in this article.
