Long diatance and large capacity transmission is an inevitable choice for optimize resource allocation, developing of ultra high voltage (UHV) AC transmission is one of the key subjects of development of future power. Controllable shunt reactor is nessary to UHV lines in our country to consideration to suppression of power frequency overvoltage and reactive power balance. Secondary arc current of UHV transmission line with shunt reactor can be suppressed via setting neutral small reactor, so coordinated control of shunt reactor and neutral small reactor is research emphasis of this paper.Mathematical model and EMTDC/PSCAD simulation model are established, coordinated control strategy is proposed in this paper. EMTDV/PSCAD simulation and physical experiment show the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical researches.
