The ice increases the stress and the sag of the transmission line. It is a great threat to the security, stability and reliable operation of the transmission line. In this paper, the author researched the calculation method of the stress, sag and weight of ice by the measurement results of the strain, angle and temperature of the line based on FBG sensors, combined with the parameters of the transmission lines and environments. A indoor icing simulation devices and testing system was built in the paper. The accuracy of the calculation method was verified by the symmetric ice covering test and the unsymmetric ice covering test. And through the test, the calculation error can be decreased by the data merging of more sensing devices and it can be controlled within 10%. Wind load was considered in the paper. The separating method between the wind load and the ice load is put forward in the paper. The increase of stiffness of the iced line affects the results of calculation. The affections was also considered in the paper. And through the research, it is thought that the affection can be ignored for the common iced transmission line.
