The TWACS is an new emerging distribution network communication system in recently years which uses the distribution network to reach the data transmission and information exchanging. It has a very broadly application prospect. This paper studys the physical and mathematical models of TWACS modulation loop and transmission channel in view of the structural characteristics for the distribution network in our country.The simplified first-order equivalent circuit and typical spectrum of inbound and outbound modulation loop is proposed. The frequency characteristic of transmission channel and distribution transformer is studied, the mechanism of inter-harmonics for communication signal has been derived.The on-line monitoring of inter-harmonic is very important for the detecting and receiving TWACS.The research methods, related conclusions and typical parameter universal curves of this paper are very important. They have a guiding function for frequency bands, amplitudes and phase-shifts of TWACS in our country.
