Power system simulation accuracy is directly related to the security and economic of system operation. However, there are many model parameters of which have close relations with the dynamic simulation, and how much impact they have to the dynamic simulation. Hybrid dynamic simulation with its capability of injecting external data into the network of interest can combine simulation and measurements closely.Due to the secondary development language IPLAN provided by simulation software PSS/E, this paper presents a method of model validation based on power system hybrid simulation. Implement hybrid simulation with different equivalent methods in PSS/E according to decoupling of components, areas, and emendate model parameters using the parameter sensitivity combined with parameter identification to launch the task of model validation studies based on the power system hybrid simulation.
