Judging from the current situation of energy and load distribution and a new trend of power grid development around the world, China put forward a strategic goal of strong and smart grid based on EHV power grid as the backbone, coordinated development of power grids of all levels. In this paper, starting from the trend of extra-high voltage smart grid development, simulation and calculation studies on the EHV power grid of Fujian's plan and construction in 2015 and 2020 are carried out, including analysis of power flow calculation, short circuit ratio, power angle stability and voltage stability calculation. According from the results of simulation, as well as Fujian's geographic location, this article also thinks of the cross-strait grid interconnection, and carries out necessity and feasibility analysis and further simulation study.
