With the quickly development of the Smart-Grid, The Wide-area Measurement System (WAMS) which was the controlling core of the future Power Grid, whose reliability and information security have been more and more important. The Markov state theory of reliability and Evidence Theory of fuzzy mathematics were used in this assessment considering the structure and information transmission of WAMS, basing on the sorts of risk analysis method. According to the structural characteristics of distributed systems, this paper doses an in-depth study to the WAMS reliability. It gives the methods of Evaluation on availability of Monitor Center System based on Markov model. On the other hand, the calculation methods of Data Acquisition System'reliability is built via the basing risk model. On the other hand, a framework for WAMS system security assessment is presented according to the ISO17799 which was an international standard of information security management, and then it associated the assets' weight by the function tree model on the base of the framework. At last, the data of subcomponents is aggregated by the Evidence Theory. Furthermore, an application soft is built for calculation of WAMS information security in order to explore the practicality between the theory and practice.
