| Shot blasting is a surface modifying technique; it is applied to surface cleaning, strengthening, and polishing. Shot blasting machine is the mechanical to complete shot blasting process. Horizontal movable shot blasting machine as a new surface modifying machine, makes shot blasting surface treatment technology develop to the road maintenance, airport runways and other areas from component. Compared with other clean and maintain equipment, Horizontal movable shot blasting machine has an obvious advantage in the economy, environmental protection, as well as work efficiency.In this paper, the separating and recovering system of Horizontal movable shot blasting machine has been studied. The separating effect of Shot blasting machine shot separating and recovering system is directly related to the shot blasting machine's efficiency and the life cycle period. The data show that when pill compound impurities increased by 1%, the blast blade of the wear rate increased 2-3 times. Currently there are both winnowing separation and magnetic separation. Winnowing separation is suitable for low-mixture projectile devices, and the winnowing separation has an easy device and low cost. Magnetic separation is far better than the winnowing separation in separation efficiency, especially for steel shot content of greater than 20% of cases, applied to two-shot head shot blasting machine. The design of separation and recovery system is based on of pneumatic conveying theory. This paper builds a free uniform particle suspension model, and the mechanical and dynamic properties of particles were analyzed by particle trajectory equations. Meanwhile, by pneumatic conveying theory and some empirical formula, the important parameters of the separating and recovering system was calculated to determine the initial structure and parameters of the system, such as the device size, air volume, velocity, pressure loss.Pneumatic conveying is the air-solid Two Phase Flow of the pipes。There are two main methods used in two phase flow of studies. Taking the liquid phase as continuous medium and the solid phase as similarity fluid, the two phases was analyzed by the Euler method; this method is called Euler-Euler method. This method is called Euler-Lagrange method. This paper has simulated two phase flow inside the pipe based on Euler-Lagrange method to determine the numerical calculation of the initial conditions and boundary conditions. Using k-εturbulence model and discrete model was simulated to obtain the flow field velocity and pressure distribution properties and the particle trajectory. Calculated by coupling to calculate the pressure loss and separation efficiency. The numerical simulation proved that the improved device and optimize the parameters can effectively increase the separation efficiency, but increased baffle resulted in significantly increased pressure loss.Because of the limitations of the software itself, Gambit, the pre-processing software has not perfect processing power when plotted surface. But Gambit provide professional CAD software compatible file format, which is very significant. for the design smooth surface of the device Using Solid Works to draw the structure of the device shape, smoothed the inconducive face. Loaded the IGES file into Gambit to generate mesh file, fluent 3D solver finally completed three-dimensional numerical simulations.Compared improved device structure, there is a demonstrated significantly lower pressure drop, separation efficiency is also improved.This paper practiced the combination of research methods of the theoretical and experimental simulation, analyzed the theoretical and simulation in-depth.
