Turbocharger compressor is a kind of rotary machine with high speed, leaf destruction accident which have different reasons is very common when it is running. The fluid in compressor is viscosity three-dimensional flow with secondary flow, vortex in the impeller always make the fluid in the compressor complicated. The reliability of the impeller is vital for the high speed centrifugal compressors. In the traditional aerodynamic design process, the simplified centrifugal force verification and a safety factor were introduced to guarantee the reliability. As the loading of the compressor increased, the aerodynamic stability presented a vital problem in the aerodynamic design of the compressors, as many accidents were caused by stall or rotating stalls. This article is based on the research about the leaf destruction of the ZN310A4-1 turbocharger compressor. Using software PRO-E to build the model of the impeller, diffuser with blade, entering air elbow, volute. Simulating the flow field of compressor under the assumptions of three-dimensional,viscosity and steadiness. An aerodynamic design system was proposed in this paper, base on NREC design models COMPAL and AXCENT. With the help of the numerical flow analysis by NUMECA, the blade angle and the design of the splitter blade were controlled properly so that the stall on the blade surface was effectively restrained. This high reliability design system may provide a practical guideline for the engineering practice.
