With the massive concrete structures widely used in the engineering,the temperature field and the corresponding calculation of thermal stress has become one of the key factors in the civil engineering studies. However, due to the distribution complexity of the temperature of mass concrete stress and many affecting factors,it is difficult to accurately obtain the actual project of its analytical solution. Heat of hydratation of mass concrete released during the hydration will have a greater effect of temperature change and shrinkage.The resulting temperature and shrinkage stress is the main reason of concrete cracks. While concrete cracks have the impacts on the structural integrity and durability,and endangering the safety of the structure.to this end,it should be considered in the construction process of the control problem of concrete cracks.As its complexity of the application conditions of mass concrete and cement concrete system, large volume of concrete cracking can not simply consider of the impact of temperature stress,the materical properties of ite own-the influence of gravity is also very important.Accurate analysis of the mass concrete temperature field and stress field is the prerequisite for effective control of temperature cracks. this paper analyzes the temperature and stress fields of mass concrete,and has agained the main factors on the affecting thermal stress.and based on the results from the cracking of concrete, there are concrete reasearch on the materials mix, additives,construction technology as well as macro-micro structure,consider the combination impact of the gravity and the temperature stress and put forward the basic principles of cracks control in the concrete:controlling temperature varies between inside and outside.but this principle is not same to the one that has been used in the engineering for a long time.(25℃varies between inside and outside) and it can control the occur of the cracks more accurately.In order to further explore the mass concrete crack controlling criteria,And through independent research and development, mass concrete implementation of multi-channel temperature detect temperature is invented and uses it to measurement for temperature.by the appearance of observation,summing up the reasons for the cracks.the results show that only consideration from the thermal stress to determine whether the cracking of concrete is not enough.
