The fatigue problems of vehicle structures become one of the key factors for upgrading vehicle equipment technology. If the stress of vehicle structure obviously is lower than the stress of the design life, which will cause the weary crack to damage and cost of vehicle's maintenance to stay at a high level, and endanger the traffic safety. The freight vehicle in the travel, will withstand many kinds of loads, method that the computation stress is smaller than the allowable stress has already unable to evaluate the product whether could meet the design needs, therefore, it is necessary for researching the model of fatigue strength evaluation and reliability. It is key for researching analysis method of fatigue life of vehicle structure in this paper, including finite element method model, for example, the finite element model of weld and submodel, fatigue load and nominal stress determination and so on. Taking carbody of C80B for example in the paper, on the condition of center plate's load, longitudinal load, roll load and torsion load, the carbody was calculated. Then, the fatigue damage calculation and fatigue life prediction of the carbody was carried out, using standards of AAR, BS,â…¡W, and the structure improvement measure was proposed according to comparison of the results. At last, the region of bending angle of boster underplate with submodel and the endwall were analyzed for reasons of welded joint.
