After the sixth accelerating speed of national railway, high-speed rail has entered the stage of rapid development, which already been of some foundation and technical capability in China. The EMU has been successfully operated in Wuhan-Guangzhou and Zhengzhou-Xi'an high-speed railway; it fully demonstrates that the Chinese manufacturers have a strong power. After" introduction, absorption, then innovation", the localization rate of rolling stock will be gradually increased by CSR and CNR. This research's object-the new generation localization CRH3 EMU has been manufactured in such a situation. In this paper, trailer body of CRH3 produced by Tangshan railway vehicles co,.Ltd and the mechanical properties of aluminum-alloy material are introduced; structure is properly simplified and the finite element model is created by HyperMesh; then, the car body FE model is analyzed by ANSYS under 17 load cases, based on EN12663, to assess the stress and the stiffness; the elastic model analysis is done to find the first-order reversal bend in vertical plane frequency is acceptable in accordance with specification as well as the model; According to structural static strength testing report for trailer body, the testing results are analyzed and calculated results is contrasted, the places which is frail should be reinforced; finally, Local structure is intensively analyzed by ANSYS submodeling analysis method and optimized by Optistruct in HyperMesh. This study is both fundamental and crucial in FEM research on the structure of car body, it could provide certain reference value for design and analysis of the structure of high-speed vehicle.
