With the rapid speed of highway construction,a large number of bridge foundation high-slopes engineerings are appeared in mountainous area of our country. The high-slopes stability has been the key technical problem which affects construction safety, progress and highway operational safety. People's lives and property are threated by high-slopes destroyed. Therefore more and more attentions are payed to bridge foundation high-slope engineerings. The stability analysis of the Longjiang bridge foundation slope has been worked by using engineering geology, limiting equilibrium method and numerical simulation and the treatment measures are presented. Firstly, through field investigations and existing data, finding out the stratum lithology, physiognomy, geological formation, meteorological and hydrological conditions, as well as the main geological diseases along the river; expressing the geological environment, basic characteristics and influence factors of high slope; according to the features of structural plane and slope rock-mass structure, the rock-mass quality is classified and the deformation characteristics that various slopes may occur evaluated preliminarily. Then, the slope stability coefficient are calculated by using numerical simulation method, strength reduction method and limit equilibrium method under the natural state, bridge load, the seismic loading and heavy rain conditions. Comparing and analysising the stress, displacement, plastic zone and the safety factor of the slope in various cases. Based on the analysis of the high slope, discussing about the program of reinforcement measures and the calculation of prestressed anchor. The results indicate that slope structure, rainfall and earthquake are the main factors which affect the stability of slope greatly, bridge load has little effect on the slope. The computed result indicates that bridge foundation slope losses its stability under the seismic loading and heavy rain conditions. Drainage measures and prestressed anchor reinforcement are used by considering the slope structure, rainfall, earthquakes and cost factors comprehensively. The study of bridge foundation high-slopes can be used for reference to the similar engineerings.
