The prestress concrete continuous girder bridge is one of the most widely used in bridge engineering because of its excellent structural system. The long-span prestress concrete continuous girder bridge widely adopts symmetrical cantilever pouring construction. During the process of the balanced cantilever construction, the inter force and displacement of the bridge are changed sophisticated. To ensure safety and quality during the construction, the construction simulation and monitoring must be carried out. As the construction conditions, there are certain difficulties in monitoring the bridge during the construction stage, accordingly the construction simulation is important in the bridge construction stage. The correct simulation not only could analyze the bridge construction internal forces theoretically, but also provide some references for engineering design and construction.The paper describes the makeup, force characteristics and the general spatial analysis methods of the bridge. It detailed introduces the structure analysis methods of the bridge construction process, and some simulation assumptions of analyze bridge construction conditions by using numerical analysis method.The paper introduces the specific methods and steps of the numerical simulation of the bridge construction stage by using the FEM software ANSYS. Based on ANSYS, the paper summarizes the modeling methods, element type selection method, mesh techniques, prestress steel simulation methods and the prestressing effect simulation methods of the box-girder bridge which has a complex steel distribution. It compared the advantage and disadvantage of various methods to analyze the box-girder bridge. By taking a certain prestress concrete continuous girder bridge as a project, selected solid element type, coupled steel and concrete nodes, simulation prestressing effect by applied the initial strain method, define loads, the construction process of prestressed concrete continues girder bridge is simulated and calculated, and the analysis results are compared with those of MIDAS/Civil's calculation and test date, which shows that the numerical simulation of the construction process of the bridge with ANSYS is viable.
