The steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column structure is the structure that steel layout in the cross-section of reinforced concrete special-shaped column structure. It combines advantages of the reinforced concrete special-shaped column structure and the steel reinforced concrete structure, therefore it has wide prospect of development. But there is still few theoretical research on it, so it has not been extended to practice.According to the test carried out on 4 specimens under low cyclic reversed loading, the failure process and the loading-displacement hysteretic curves of the steel reinforced concrete special-shaped beam-column corner joints were obtained. By analyzing the loading-displacement hysteretic curves, the shear capacity, ductility factor, story drift rotation, equivalent viscous damping factor of the joints were obtained. It is shown that the shear capacity and seismic behavior of the steel reinforced concrete beam-column joints are better than the reinforced concrete beam-column joints. Based on the strains of steel and stirrup in core area, the mechanism of joint were researched.The test specimens have been simulated by using the software ABAQUS and the analysis results were compared to the experimental results. The influence factors which affect the shear capacity of joints such as the axial compression ratio, ratio of steel, direction of horizional load and dimension of cross-section were analyzed. Based on the results, the coefficient of extended flange length column thickness ratio was introduced to present the shear capacity formulas of steel reinforced concrete special-shaped beam-column corner joint. The steel reinforced concrete special-shaped beam-column corner joints under torsion were analyzed. It is shown that the steel enhance the torsion capacity of joints dramatically. Finally, the torsion capacity formulas of steel reinforced concrete special-shaped beam-column corner joint were presented by followed and introduced the coefficient of torsion.
