Transformer plays a very important role in the power system. Before putting into operation, acceptance test of elector equipment can check the accuracy of manufacturing. Whether transformer can meet national standardization and design basis.The test which is runing or after repairing can inspect and monitor insulation trend,repairing quality and so on.These are in ord to ensure the transformer is safe, reliable and stable operation.Manually operated transformer test is not only low degree of automation on production,but has brought high labor intensity.So,it's especially important to improve the automation degree of transformer test.The improvement of automation in the transformer test, some domestic instrument manufacturer begin to be attention to the problem and has produced some automatic-instrument and integrated test-bed for transformer test to meet the need of the transformer manufacturer. But for the lightning impulse voltage test and temperature-rise test which is an extremely important transformer type test, however,their product general has not concerned with.So,the paper is going to design a relatively suitable automatic-control system which is aimed at the realization of the lightning impulse voltage test and temperature-rise test automation of transformer and emphasis on the the lightning impulse voltage test.The program includes the calculation, planning and design of lightning impact voltage test hardware,then displaying the shematic diagram and software design. The automatic-control system which is focusing on development and deployment of server-side application programming.Using B/S (Browser/Server) structure and putting measurement program of ASP.NET language on the server side applications, which don't need design client application and install software. As long as we ensure the stable operation of server-side applications. Using the browser as the client, the automatic-control system is easy to maintain and upgrade software. Front-line workers can use any computer at any time to operate server.And clients are not afraid of viruses and hardware failures.We can connect serial port of server and test instrunment through ASP.NET application which can upload the real-time measurement data to server,and saved to the database server.Because server is placed in the computer room,programs and databases can not be directly copied.It can protect effectively software copyright,data security and stability.This automatic control system displays the relevant code and the flow chart of the main program in the design.The system consists of microcontroller,application and client.User inputs the test conditions through the user interface,the system can be automatic initialization and don't need set up anything. So,it can raise working efficiency and reduced the complexity of test.On the flip side the system improve it automatization level and remove the human component entirely.The system has good man-machine interface, input and output display,Monitoring and control system,data acquisition and processing of transformer test and automatic control test using application server.This system not only eases the labour strength of workers but also improves the automation level of transformer.
