Earthquake, the stairs is an important means of escape, however, the great Wenchuan earthquake disasters, shows that very serious damage to the stairwell. The earthquake damage shows that the staircase is often before the main structure damage to have all sorts of serious destructions, affecting emergency use. According to stair slab and beam stairs, discusses the design methods commonly used the stairs, on the basis of the study damage analysis explained that the stairs should carry on the earthquake resistance design, and made a number of preliminary measures for engineering design reference. Finally, the article pointed out the topic for further study.This article describes the different kinds of stairs in the rare earthquake time-history under the action of calculation and analysis, research shows that under the action of seismic waves in the vertical, the stair is quite sensitive to the earthquake severely damaged. Through the damage analysis of some stairs, hoping that in the future projects of various departments are able to give attention to the stairs, especially designers in the architectural design of the staircase in the entire building to consider the role of anti-seismic structure of the staircase to do well conceptual design and construction."Seismic Design of Buildings" (GB50011-2001) 2008 edition of 3.6.6 states that the use of computers for seismic analysis, the calculation should take into account the impact of the staircase components, this paper researchs on the interaction performance between frames and the stairs, has carried on the modal analysis as well as the earthquake responds the spectrum analysis, the results of the analysis shows that consideration of stairs in calculating greatly affects the natural period and internal forces of members in frame structure,and take appropriate measures to ensure the stairs to work in the earthquake. elaborated on the stairs in the dynamic impact loads performance problems, dynamic performance, studies have shown that the impact load damage down the stairs, appears in the stiffness of mutation (Ladder beam and ladder board intersection) of the weak parts.Through this research, we obtain some useful conclusions, as well as subsequent research has provided some theoretical support.
