| The vehicle frame is the foundation of the entire vehicle, the major units and the assemblies fix its position through the frame, and it is withstanding any kinds of loads inside and outside the vehicle. It is very important to do the finite element analysis of the frame. The serialized structure features of frame require special finite element analysis system to avoid a mass of repetitive operations and improve analysis efficiency. In addition, the method of couple and the element MPC 184 are used to simulate of the multi-layer plate structures such as the connection of cross beam, longeron and stiffening plate. When the entities have consistent meshes at contact interface, those methods can achieve satisfying results. However, if their meshes are inconsistent, it is only the proximate nodes that can be coupled. The DOF coupling of inconsistent nodes increases the stiffness of certain area, and leads to serious stress concentration, affects the accuracy of the results. This article developed a Parameterized Frame Modeling System and DOF Coupling System by using VB, APDL and UIDL language.(1) The development of the Parameterized Frame Modeling System:The parameterized frame modeling method was proposed by researching the parameterized frame modeling technology and picking up the common characters of different frames. A parameter inputting program was developed based on this method which can link to ANSYS. Running the program, the frame model will be built. (2) The development of the DOF Coupling System:The DOF coupling algorithm based on the constraint equation is proposed to simulate the multi-layer plate structures. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is let the DOF of the node on the source face coupling with the DOF of the inner point of the element on the objective surface which can be expressed by the nodes DOF, so it is also called MNCA. Making APDL command by using this algorithm, appending the menu to the main menu of the ANSYS, the system is completed. The Parameterized Frame Modeling System can build the frame modeling by inputting some simple parameters which be able to avoid mass of repetitive operations and improve work efficiency, nonprofessional finite element analysis personnel can also use this system to build the model; The DOF Coupling System is proved to be reliable by using the instance. The von-mises stress distribution computed by using MNCA are more reasonable contrasted with the results computed by using DOF and MPC184 element. |
