With increasing requirement of liquefied natural gas (Liquified Natural Gas shortening as LNG) as a high-quality energy in the worldwide, LNG storage tank have increased. have irreplaceable role as the important equipment of gas source terminal in providing powerful guarantee for important sector air supply and facilities safe operation. The LNG is flammable and explosive, once LNG storage tank subjected earthquake damage, leakage and burning of a large number of flammable liquids, the devastating secondary disasters may be lead to. So, the safety of tank under earthquake is one of the important issues to build storage tank. Earthquake response of LNG storage tank have analyzed in this paper, seismic isolation effect of LNG storage tank with rubber interlayer as the seismic device under earthquake have analyzed. The research contents as follows:1. The finite element model of the external walls of LNG prestressed storage tank is formed.2. Seismic isolation effect of LNG storage tank with rubber interlayer as the seismic device have designed. two rubber interlayer with different kinds of horizontal rigidity have designed, the finite element model of seismic isolation LNG storage tank have builded.3. Earthquake response of the LNG storage tanks in seismic isolation before and after have contrasted and analyzed.The results showed that:1. The natural frequency of LNG storage tanks in seismic isolation before and after have compared, it is showed that the frequency of isolation storage tank are significantly reduced, especially low-frequency. The frequency decrement of empty tank is more obvious than the tank containing liquid,s. The natural frequency of tanks are decreased with increasing of the stored liquid volume, whether vibration isolation or not..2. The LNG storage tanks with different stored liquid volume have maken time-history analysis. The results showed that the seismic isolation effect of empty tank is better than the tank containing liquid,s. The displacement of storage tank,s external walls is increased and then decreased under earthquake wave along the hight of tanks. The maximum displacement are much more in height of 20m.3. The seismic isolation effect of storage tank under different earthquake wave have analyzed. Results show that the seismic isolation effect of rubber interlayer are different for different earthquake waves. The rubber interlayer,s isolation effect of of the small horizontal rigidity to the El centro wave and taft-wave is better. The rubber interlayer,s isolation effect of the large horizontal rigidity to Tianjin wave is better.
