The glass of solar cell which is the component of photovoltaic-cell can be permeated by the sun, and it is the necessary part of the photovoltaic cell. The power provider is being made very strict in the production; otherwise, the serious consequence will be taken back. So, the damaged solar cell must be checked out before lift-off.The system consists of three parts. Picture collected by the hardware; software is main to processing the image; lastly, the database is needed to store the cell images that are processed in the second step.The first step of the design is collecting cell image. Specially speaking, with the effective work of embed system, the cell image that is taken by the digital camera will be transferred to the PC, and this is the preparedness for the second step.In the second part of the paper, with the dark-field illumination being used for the collection of the glass photos, methods of reducing non-uniform illumination and geometric rectification of image carried up firstly, mathematic morphology is performed then, and a new arithmetic called yardstick for reducing noise is put forward for the first time. The experiment results show that the processing supplied in this paper is to meet the detection, and improve that the arithmetic carried up in the paper is an effective processing method.In the last part of this paper, images operated will be put into database. And in the interface designed with the C langue and C plus plus langue, the other functions also include increase, query, delete, and even examine pictures at any time.
