The soft-switching technology is an important research direction in electric power technology, which can solves the switching loss and the switching noise effectively, and it enables the circuits to enhance turn-on frequency greatly, Meanwhile, it can also reduce electromagnetic interference of the circuits effectively. With the Increasing of power and frequency of converters, its status are more remarkable day by day.This paper has studied weightly a direct AC-AC soft-switching converter which based on DC-DC topology, Proposed its topology of the soft-switching circuits, and analyzed its operation principles, the stable operation states, the soft-switching working condition; At the same time, it has discussed the control policy and simulation of the soft-switching circuits. Through reading the Chinese and foreign literatures, we find the research about this direct AC-AC soft-switching converter based on DC-DC topology are quite few currently. Therefore it has important theory and practical significance to research it deeply.This paper first introduced the proposal and classification of soft-switching technology, and the analysis of resonant circuits. Then it analyzed the hard-switching AC-AC converter based on the topology of Cuk circuit, Discussed the operation principle and parameters of the converter, Simulated the circuit, and proposed the feedback control of the instantaneous voltage of converter. Then took single-phase DC-DC Boost Converter as an example, Analysis of topology and operation principle of compound active clamping technique featured the simple circuits and high efficiency, Based on the analysis of operation principle, Steady-state, condition of soft-switching, and simulation of Compound Active Clamping Boost Converter, active clamping bi-directional DC-DC converter family are proposed. Finally, applying this technique to the AC-AC converter based on the DC-DC topology, the converter worked as soft switching. Based on the analysis of operation principle, Steady-state, condition of soft-switching, and simulation of Compound Active Clamping single-phase AC-AC Converter, this paper discussed the feedback control of the instantaneous voltage of converter, and exported compound Active Clamping single-phase AC-AC Converter family.
