Underwater explosion is the enormous energy conversion process occurred within avery small volume or area of water in very short time. In recent years, underwater blastingmethod is widely used with a large number of underwater projects which were built. Themethods has been widely adopted in the underwater explosion projects The shock waveproduced by underwater explosion will inevitably have some effects to the hydraulicstructures,aquatic organisms as well as staff in the vicinity. The urgent problems are theunderstanding of the propagation characteristic of shock wave in underwater explosion andtake corresponding measures to control its bad effects at the present time. As theattenuation of speed of shock waves of underwater explosion is very quickly, it decay intoacoustic when reach a certain distance. So study on the propagation rule of shock wavesbefore it decay into acoustic is necessary, this papar focues on studying on the propagationrule of shock waves that is neared explosive sourceIn this paper, based on the study of the basic theory of underwater explosion and thepropagation characteristic of shock wave produced by underwater explosion and itsattenuation rule, I have studied on the problem of the propagation characteristic,attenuation rule of shock wave produced by explosion in unlimited water and explosion inshallow water and drilling hole explosion by application of ANSYS/LS-DYNA SimulationSoftware, And at last I find out the propagation characteristic of shock wave in underwaterexplosion and the factors affecting its spreading through comparative analysis study of thefour means of explosion. At last of the paper I introduced the means of reduce shock wavein underwater explosion; focus on introducing bubble curtain method through theoreticalanalysis and practical aspects. The numerical simulation and projects can verify thepractical effect of bubble curtain.In this paper, the focus of the study lies in comparasive analysis study on the shockwave that is produced by three means of explosion under possible condition. Have a morecomprehensive and depth study on the underwater explosion and comprehensive and detailed analysis of the bublle curtain that is used for reduce the shock wave in underwaterexplosion combined with practical examples.
