Along with the development of our country's transport, tunnel engineering has received increasing attention in the engineering circles. As one of the main tunnel construction method, the quality of the driving and blasting method will make a significant impact both on the construction efficiency and economic benefit of tunnel engineering, and on the surrounding rock, the primary support and the safety of the buildings around tunnel. The blasting effect of drilling and blasting method is affected by the surrounding rock condition, the blasting equipment, blasting parameters, the charging structure and other factors. During different working conditions, we need repeated experiment and optimization for getting the best results of drilling and blasting method. If we have chosen the improper blasting parameters, the drilling and blasting method will cause a series of problems, which will affect the construction period, the economic efficiency and the security of tunnel engineering. So the research of optimizing blasting parameters will be of prime importance to the construction of tunnel engineering. In view of the Jihuang highway Foling tunnel engineering, we have studied the smooth blasting parameters of the two-lane highway mountain tunnel, which is under different rock grades, different geological conditions and stable surrounding rock at the present stage, for minimizing the deformation of surrounding rock, the volume of overbreak or underbreak, and the range of the loose ring. The ultimate objective is to minimize engineering cost and construction period in the context of ensuring the construction safety and quality.
