There is a lot of low calorific value gas in industrial production, and they have very low calorific value. Because of the existence of lazy gases, there are difficulties in lighting fire and bad characteristics of burning. To make efficient use of these unqualified gases, save the cost and energy, this essay has designed a new kind of burning system, and makes researches on the features of burning on the basis of numerical simulation and experimental.Firstly, a test-bed for researches is designed on the burning processes of low calorific value gas. The test-bed is made up by fuel system, air supply system, burning system, the system for data collecting and the system for the after-processing. Especially designed the burning system, the burning system is made up by burner, combustion chamber, heat retaining mass.Secondly, designed a three-dimensional model for this burning machine with Gambit software, and made numerical calculation for burning process of the low calorific value gas with Fluent software. According to this, it's able to make detailed description of pressure, velocity, temperature and concentration for the burning process of low calorific value gas.Thirdly, made researches on the burning process of low calorific value gas; researched air preheating temperature, fuel preheating temperature, oxygen enrichment and excess air coefficient on effects on the burning features of low calorific value gas; got the best spout angle and the best structure for heat retaining mass. And also, analyzed the effects of all kinds of parameter on the burning process, using the Orthogonal Method, and have provided a group of best connections of parameter for the burning process of low calorific value gas.Lastly, the research test-bed for the burning process of low calorific value gas was builted.The effects of air preheating temperature on the burning characteristics of low calorific value gas was studied. At the same time, the exactness of numerical simulation through the comparison between the numerical simulation results and the research results in the burning process of low calorific value gas was tested.
