Railway transport is the most important traffic way in our country. The demands of Chinese economy fast development for more high-effect civil railway network. The reliability of railway network and emergencies propagation has become a pervasive problem after affected by emergencies, especially natural disasters, accidents and other circumstances of the attack. At the same time with the growth of the railway network the robustness is also a problem must be faced with. The complex network theory is the foreland of the system theory and can be used in the research of railway network from a new point of view.Based on the complex network, we analyze the static stat characteristics of railway network. We analyze the robustness of railway network from the perspective of network efficiency, and establish efficiency as connectivity reliability. Secondly, we give an application example of national railway network which has been proved that railway network is a small world complex network of the scale-free character. Finally, we analyze the capability of the railway network. Model of delay propagation have been established based on SIR theory. We find that train delay have impacted on the railway network through simulating. However, the railway network propagation character is related to the quantity of sides and nodes, and is closely related to the network topology. The innovation of the thesis lies in the application of the complex network theory to the robustness of railway network and emergencies propagation. By discuss the capability of the railway network under emergencies the study makes the theory support for emergency and decision.
