Open caisson construction method is mainly used in the deep foundation construction,with the construction of simple,fast,safe,reliable,small footprint,less excavation,a relatively small impact on adjacent buildings and so on.Currently,a wealth of experience has been accumulated in the design and construction of caisson structure.The plane size and the depth of open caisson has reached a considerable scale.The urban construction of modern city more and more involved in the sinking problem.But in recent years caisson construction project accidents frequently occur.The main reason is that the knowledge of soil surrounding the caisson structure is not enough,that the design and the construction measures are not unreasonable.There is a common effect of practical significance on the the joint action analysis between the caisson and the surrounding soil.This article studies caisson wall earth pressure.First,the existing major earth pressure theories are outlined as the basis of the problem and analysis for the problems and shortcomings are indicated in the calculation of caisson earth pressure.Then it uses finite element analysis software ABAQUS to establish a common simulation model of caisson and its surrounding soil.Analysis is used in comparing computer numerical and experimental results to obtain a better consistency,more reasonable solution to the caisson and the surrounding soil interaction modeling.In addition,by using the finite element model which has been established,different soil conditions and wall stiffness were simulated of the distribution of earth pressure.The result is that the earth pressure distribution obtained is nonlinear and it will vary depending on diffrent soil properties and wall stiffness.Finally,the result of caisson wall earth pressure in this article studies and the conclusions on earth pressure of retaining structure in the previous studies were compared,and concluded that the earth pressure distribution of caisson wall was non-linear in space.
