In the information society, the digital technology is permeated aspects of the design field and in the architecture design field. Its application converts from the CAD in the early time to the parametric design based on the algorithm or simulation of artificial intelligence. Parametric design can generate enough alternatives in a short time. Generative Components provides new design ways for the architecture design field. It is used to explore kinds of new possible building forms, and to represent the complexity architecture forms more easily.The article first gives an introduction to the research status quo of digital architecture design, and analysis the advantage of parametric design. Then give an introduction to GC, new parametric design software. Second, describe two components, like polygon and an opening book got from sensibility in a parametric way, and create two different roof models of which the parameters can be modified, like "grid" roof and "book polygon" roof with GC' function of "create a new feature". Third, GC is used to design a parametric Chinese ancient architectures combined with lattice algorithm programming. The regularity of internal structure and parameter relationship among the various components of ancient architectures are obtained and the digitalized and parametrized description is implemented. Then the structured 3D model is built of which the parameters can be modified. In addition, we explore the way of parametric design restrained in geometrical constraint. The last, based on the fact that the shortest route algorithm is often used in architecture design, we realize the shortest route algorithm parametricly in GC, and application it in architecture wiring optimization design.Through GC' parametric and scripted design method, we can describe the components got from sensibility in a parametric way; and combined with geometric, intelligent algorithms and programming, we can generate enough alternatives in a short time through revising parameter relationship among the various components. This has a profound effect on design by encouraging an iterative search for more efficient solutions.
