The pier is the critical bearer structures to assure the smooth running of arch work gate. In company with development of our national high dam, more and more high demands are needed for release works'maximum outflow discharge, working head, sluice size, arch water gate stress, and pier stress.But the limitation of spillway width makes it not imposable to design a larger pier size, which lead to the pire structure force deterioration,and the ordinary reinforced concrete pire structure can not meet the design requirements,using pre-stressed pire structure has been inevitable.Due to the complex conditions of the pre-stressed pier structure, usually it is necessary to use the 3D finite element analysis method to provide a reference for the design.Based on the systematic study and summaring massive prestressed pier structural design experience, the pier of weir gate dam section of hydroelectric spillway is the research object of this paper, With ANSYS software as a platform, prestressed pier as engineering example was calculated and analyzed at different combination load conditions. And neck shape of prestressed pier was calculated and analyzed, conducted a seismic analysis for the prestressed pier, analysis of the results of their calculations provides reference for the engineering design, to facilitate the improvement and optimization of structural design of pier.By case 1 and case 2 of the comparative analysis of calculation results,validates the necessity and feasibility of the pier that is prepressed. There have a greater tensile stress in the pier neck when the pier runs in the case three, Appears on the pier neck of the right side of face, The tensile stress values exceeds the tensile strength of concrete, the pier can not meet the normal operational requirements, so certain measures were taken to reduce the tensile stress necessarily.The neck of prestressed pier needs to take measures of slot to reduce stress because there have a large force, Taking in length, depth and height in three directions necking of the program, And the finite element model were established separately, the calculation results of slot length, height, depth in different sizes were analyzed and studied comparatively, Depending on the the stress peak in deferrent slot lengths draws curves of figure about slot length and stress peaks, Then according to the curves of figure about slot lengths and stress peaks to determine the optimal slot length; Similarly, according to the curves of figure about slot depths and stress peaks to determine the optimal slot depth; According to the curves of figure about slot heights and stress peaks to determine the optimal slot height.Finally, prestressed pier carried out calculation and analysis of dynamic after slot, We can know that the stress distribution of prestressed pier is consistent between seismic condition with static condition, only the stress value increases, but the increase is not large.
