Cable-stayed bridges get into good graces of people because of their great spanning capability and beautiful sight. With the development of scientific technology and increasing demands of the society, cable-stayed bridge has great increase in number and span; its structure form is also increasingly diversiform. The composite beam cable-stayed bridge is a kind of cable-stayed bridge which main beam is steel structure and bridge decking is concrete structure, and the main beam and bridge decking are afforded the force together through the connecting pieces. Because of its complicated stressed quality, the research on the design and construction methods is very important.In this paper, the history and the structure system are described of cable-stayed bridge. And the development tendency is also summarized of the cable-stayed bridge and the composite beam cable-stayed bridge.In this paper, the characteristic of the composite beam cable-stayed bridge, especially steel-concrete composite beam, is summed up. And the analysis methods of composite beam are researched.Based on the summery of the design methods and theory of the composite beam cable-stayed bridge in this paper, the structure of the Guanyinyan Changjiang River Bridge is calculated for the design of this bridge.In this paper, the key construction technologies of the Guanyinyan Changjiang River Bridge are researched, including the construction of NO.10 substructure and the temperature control solution of NO.9 large size concrete bearing platform.Above all, the present results can provide a practical reference for design and construction of the composite beam cable-stayed bridge.
