So driving safely become the public focus,and keeping certain distance between vehicles is essential measured for security. The ultrasonic rangefinder is develops under such background. However, along with industrial technology unceasing development, traditional ultrasonic rangefinder cannot meet people's need because own limitation. Therefore, it is imperative to develop one kind of ultrasonic rangefinder of high accuracy, real-time response,well man-machine interface, strong communication ability. This article determine implementation process and measurement method of high accuracy ultrasonic distance based on the traditional analysis and comparison of ultrasonic rangefinder.This article chose time difference as the system control method, based on comparison of the traditional method. Analyzed various factors that impact of ultrasonic propagation velocity in the medium, We decided to compensate the temperature for significant impact on the system error.The system selects a 40K hertz ultrasonic wave as the measuring tool, takes ATmega8L as the master control chip. Addition some periphery's electric circuit to the traditional ultrasonic rangefinder, we did some improvement in transmitting circuit, receiving circuit and the measurement, realized requirements of the high accuracy, real-time response, the well man-machine interface, strong communication ability, far distance. Moreover, considered field operation factor when design, we realized the easy installation and reliable operation.The paper will show you the framework both the hardware and the software. When we designed the hardware, We studied the main part such as ultrasonic fired, ultrasonic receiver signal processing, microprocessor systems, and data communication.Specially, at the receiving amplification circuit, We not only did some mathematical analysis in design, but also made the simulation in protues. This can save costs, reduce development cycle. In the software design, we used modular design, and filtering algorithm to the temperature and final distance computation.Finally, we made a conclusion and summary to the whole design of The design of accuracy ultrasonic wave distance gauge based on ATmega81.And to find ways to reduce errors, we analyzed all factors that impacted system errors.
