With the constant expansion of power system and diversity of operating mode, power system low frequency oscillation problems have become increasingly prominent, and some emerging issues, not the traditional interpretation of low-frequency vibration analysis methods. In this paper, the perspective of energy propagation, using eigenvalue analysis method of power system low frequency oscillation unit of kinetic energy during the exchange of information analyzed at the same time the spread of disturbance from the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the perspective of power system low frequency oscillation have been studied, using IEEE four machine two area system simulation. The conclusions of the understanding of the nature of power system low frequency oscillation provide a new perspective, with a certain reference value.
