After the application of engineering structure, due to fires, earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters influence, plus long fatigue load, the structure itself is easy to produce different degree of damage. As accumulation of these damages, structure will appear huge security risk which will affect life and property safety, caused the direct losses of national economy. Therefore conducting a damage identification research into engineering structure helps people to promptly and accurately identify the damage of structure, repair or change the structure of the operating methods, and further propose the effective and practical solutions, and has important theoretical significance and practical value.Structural damage identification is an emerging in civil engineering research field, which has not formed a unified theory and method, and is still in the initial stage of engineering structures. This article proposes parameter identification law based on engineering structures damage and analyzes this question as follows:(1) After reviewing related literatures both in China and abroad, the significance of structural health monitoring and structure damage identification and application prospect of detecting technology is introduced in the paper. It elaborates the present research field in damage identification and research, and puts forward the main research contents.(2) Gave a detailed description of structural dynamic detection methods, structure dynamic detection theoretical base and detection process.(3) After described flexibility matrix, flexibility matrix difference ratio, parameters theoretical basis in detail, analyzed the relationship among various order frequency, corresponded modal shape vector and damage identification. Simulation analysis is divided into ten conditions and is used to verify the feasibility and validity, accuracy of this method by simulating identification of each injury application through parametric method.(4) Through testing the dynamic power of a cantilever beam before and after injury, this paper identifies the damage of parameters on the basis of the known injury to verify the validity and accuracy of the parameter method.(5) Summarized research contents and conclusions, got a feasible damage identification method and points out some problems existing in practical applications in this article.
