| Energy shortage has become a major constraint factor for society and economy development in this century. Development of clean energy resources as an alternative to fossil fuels has become a most effective way to solve the energy crises and lots of new energy resources were developed very fast as the substitute for conventional energy like hydroelectric, wind, nuclear and solar energy. All over these energy resources, solar cells is most suitable choose because a series advantages and significant development was obtained nowadays.Solar cells are equipments change the solar energy to electric energy through some photoelectric effects or photochemical effects and had become the main way for using solar energy. At present, main production in PV market is single crystal silicon solar. However, single crystal silicon solar cells based on high-quality and high-purity silicon, making the cost of single crystal silicon solar cells gradually increased and limiting the development. Therefore, development of low raw material consumption and high-efficiency thin-film solar cells is the inevitable trend of development of the PV industry.Thin-film solar cells including amorphous silicon thin-films, cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-films, copper indium selenide (CIS) thin-films, copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) thin-films and so on. Among them, copper indium gallium selenide thin-film solar cells is based on inexpensive glass substrate and deposited a series metal films and semiconductor mixture films with different morphology and functional, the thickness of the film is about 4-5um. Because of the structural characteristics, low prices, good stability, high conversion efficiency of the solar cells, it has become the focus among scientific and industry. Although a lot of research and attention are on CIGS solar cells, large-scale production and commercialization product isn't ripe.There are many technical aspects look forward to be solved. How to take advantage of inexpensive magnetron sputtering system to prepare high-performance CIGS absorbing layer is become one key point. This paper studied on the technology process using magnetron sputtering system to prepare CIGS absorbing layer for CIGS thin-film solar cells, related tests for CIGS thin-films were executed and preparation process and parameters were optimized. Finally, suitable CIGS absorbing layer and perfect CIGS solar cells were prepared. |
