| The Silver-Zinc cell was made by our country and put into the application of the main power for missiles in the middle of 1960s.For its high energy, steady working voltage and large current, the silver-Zinc cell was widely used in the field of missiles, satellites and so on in the past decades. The cathode piece is the important part of the silver-Zinc cell, but it is still made by hand in some research institutes. The disadvantages appeared increasingly including low precision, high labor intension, low efficiency and poison which does harm to human body. So the automation or half-automation for shaping the cathode piece of the Silver-Zinc cell is an innovation and advancement in making Silver-Zinc cells. This paper focuses on the design of t shaping system for the cathode piece of the Silver-Zinc cell including the main aspects as follows:1. According to the structure and design requirement of the cathode piece of the Silver-Zinc cell, it puts forward the shaping system specification for the next mechanic design. 2. According to the structure of the cathode piece of the Silver-Zinc cell, it puts forward the method and machine of combining coating with printing. The machine includes positioning structure, a three-axis Cartesian coordinate robot, the coating and printing structure, a elevator controlled table and so on. And the machine is designed with CAD software Solidworks.3. A fluid-solid coupling mold is taken to analyze the motion of the plaster inside the nozzle. The software ADINA is used to simulate the flow field inside the designed nozzle. Proper parameter is chosen to restructure the nozzle.4. Experiments of coating and printing were done to prove the feasibility of automation or half-automation system for shaping the cathode piece of the Silver-Zinc cellExperiment showed that with well-controlled process parameter, not only good flow property and uniformity can meet the process requirement, but also its high efficiency can meet the production requirement, which make great contribution to the development of the Silver-Zinc cell. |
