Marine fluid coupling is a kind of driving medium by using fluid media without touching machinery directly. As a kind of flexible transmission equipment, it can solve such problems as non-load starting, engine compound, torsional vibration of the shafts, and vibration and noise control. It possesses a lot of irreplaceable advantages among marine propulsion plants. It is widely used and developed in marine diesel engines'compound, CODAG and icebreaker's power plant, which shows its good quality and function in transmission and broad prospects for development.In this thesis, analysis and research are carried out first on marine fluid coupling's operating principle, its function and control system including quick oil charge and discharge. Then, this paper constructs the three-dimensional modeling for the structure of JO127X type marine fluid coupling and the oil of working chamber by the software Pro/E, and the whole flow distribution simulation analysis for JO127X type fluid coupling at 1.7% slip declared operation condition by the fluid dynamic analysis software STAR-CD. The pressure calculation and theory formula have identical results basically, and through the validation of test the result of torsion obtained by simulation calculation is well in accord with the experiment. That validates the correctness of simulation analysis. Finally, AMEsim, system simulation software, is employed to carry out the model building and simulation Calculation of variable operating conditions of JO127X type marine fluid coupling's oil charge and discharge control system. The deviation value of the results and the experimental data are relatively smaller through the validation of test, which leads to a satisfied result.Therefore, this method and the result of analysis have instruction to the mastery of control technology for oil charge and discharge of marine fluid coupling and to the improvement of the function of marine fluid coupling.
