It is important to develop an integrative CAD/CAPP/CAM system applicable for the marine diesel; CAPP is the key to realize the CAD/CAPP/CAM integration, it is also the connection between CAD and CAPP. Therefore, how to realize the effective integration among CAPP, CAD and CAM has become one of the crucial problems in the development of CAD/CAPP/CAM.On the basis of analyzing the development status of integrative CAPP system, this paper pointed out the problems to be studied. Combining with the enterprise requirement, an integrative CAPP system's frame was built; the frame and each function of the subsystem were introduced in detail.On the basis of analyzing the machining feature characters of marine diesel, this paper introduced a method which could extract the geometrical information of machining features through naming them under the UG environment via the topological structure of STEP data, this method was called as"Feature Naming Method"in brief. This method won't be constrained by the modeling method like other inner method (like secondary development), also it is more efficient than the traditional outer extraction way based on STEP.On the basis of analyzing the main feature matching methods, combining with the box part form feature's character and the main graph theory in independent feature matching field, the isomorphism adopted by the graph theory was improved by using the matrix characteristic polynomial theory. The adopted algorithm by the proposed theory is ascending ordered arrangement for characteristic polynomial of Matrix algorithm, the time complexity of which is only O(N3), it is more efficient than O(2N) of the commonly used degree sequenced algorithm.The marine diesel basis was taken as an example, combining with the restructured feature geometrical information and the process information supplemented interactively, this paper realized the process reasoning with the feature as the unit and on the basis of rule, finally evaluated it with the feature process route table.On the basis of analyzing the main algorithms in box part working steps'sequencing, the problems existed in the genetic algorithm which is now the main stream in process sequencing field were pointed out, on the basis of deducting the concept of"Inner Product Angle Cosine of n Dimension Vector", a new algorithm called as"Inner Product Angle Cosine of n Dimension Vector"was introduced to sequence the working procedure, the algorithm flow was presented, and it was evaluated through the process sequencing example like basis and rack of marine diesel, research results show that: this method owns a more reasonable math theory basis, an overall optimization and a stable convergence character in a more strict sense than other artificial intelligence methods.On the basis of the above research results, an original integrated CAPP system for box part in marine diesel was developed; this paper introduced its main functions and application in brief.
