With the development of science and technology and the improvement of the living standards of the society, the microminiaturization of electromechanical products has being gone on. At present, microminiature or miniature electromechanical systems products are high value-added high-tech products. And the tiny drive / micro-drive or reducer is the key components of microminiature or miniature electromechanical systems products, so that the study of micro-mechanical drives technology to become one of key research areas.A novel mechanical transmission mechanism named space-curve-meshing-wheel (SCMW) transmission has been invented and researched recently, which might be used for micro device and achieve successive transmission in microspace. The main contents of this thesis includes as follows:Firstly, the significance of micro-drive method and the present study status about the micro-drive technology around the world are introduced; the previous studies on SCMW are summarized;the problems which need be solved in future are pointed out.Secondly, the meshing path of the contact point of SCMW is deduced based on the meshing function of space curve and the space coordinate transformation. The elastic deformation can be also deduced by the force matrix, and then the design criterion of SCMW can be established. It will provide theory foundation for the industrialization application.Thirdly, the SCMW cannot achieve successive and smooth transmission in theory if there is plastic deformation in the SCMW during the transmission process. Therefore the stress is studied, the design formulas of intensity are deduced and the mechanism is examined according to the third strength theory.Then the finite element analysis is carried out, the elastic deformation and stress of the SCMW is studied by using of ANSYS, and the corresponding formula deduced above is proved.Finally, the design system of the SCMW based on Matlab is finished, including the computing system of the space curve equation of the driven tine, the design criterion of the parameter of SCMW, the design criterion of the failure criterion of SCMW. It can facilitate the project application of the SCMW.
