The heat exchanger is one kind of general important thermal equipment in the petroleum chemical industry production. The shell-and-tube heat exchanger is widely applied in the industrial production due to its simple structure,raliability and operation flexibility. Starting from the situation of heat exshanger manufacture enterprises, the actual application of designing software for heat exchanger design was analyzed as well as necessity of developing heat exchanger design. Profound study of shell-and-tube heat exchanger in order to enhance heat transfer,finned-pipe technology is developed increasingly. With the efficiency of heat heat transfer increased, power consume is increased. so we must do optimization design based on factor having effect on heat-exchanger for industry and this paper's research is carried on: based on heat-tranfer of heat shell-and-tube heat exchanger, system analysis and design on heat exchanger system,and establish valid case models, class models and dynamic models. firstly, in the study of heat-transfer, the pilot calculation and the primary election equipment specification, calculates the heat load according to the heat transfer duty, the choice row tubular heat exchanger's model. Calculates the qualitative temperature, and determines under the qualitative temperature the fluid nature.Using database technology,equipment material database are and constructed, they are independent, open and reliable with shared date, it is easily to get data from the database and charts by automatic query of computer, check the press drop of shell-and-tube, which is developed based on Visual Basic 6.0. Its advantages are advanced structured design,powerful function and convenience. It has been used in exchangers manufactory. The result indicated that program works safely and reliably. The system decreased intense of design labour,and raised efficiency and quality of design. This paper introduces its character, content and structure design.
