Recently, the demand for cars is increasing daily. With people enjoying the convenient of transport, they are also fed up with environmental pollution by car and the pain of the soaring fuel prices. Two major problems of fuel energy drying up and environment deterioration are threatening the sustainable development of automobile. The alternative fuel vehicles represented of the electric cars are the main way to solve this crisis. Battery is power sources of the electric vehicle, which is significant impact to dynamic performance, fuel economy and safety of the car. If the battery can meet the operating requirements under different conditions, the online testing of the state Of charge of battery is needed.In this paper, author designed the remaining capacity of lead-acid batteries online testing system by using battery optic fiber sensor for the testing of concentration,which based on the principles of light energy absorption. combining the powerful data processing of DSP and using intelligent information processing technology and neural network algorithm, designed the remaining capacity of lead-acid batteries online testing system which based on DSP microprocessor.This paper has four major research work:â‘ Analysised the basic principle of lead-acid battery, basic electrical characteristics of lead-acid batteries, battery charge and discharge characteristics impact on the remaining capacity of lead-acid batteries. Comparative study the methods which used commonly in the remaining capacity of lead-acid batteries online testing system. Proposing prediction strategies of SOC ,which based on the light energy absorption principle.â‘¡Designed the optical fiber sensor system of the remaining capacity of lead-acid batteries and the remaining capacity of lead-acid battery online testing system which based on DSP TMS320LF2407 microprocessor. Proved that this system is feasibility by charge-discharge experimentsâ‘¢Designed hardware system of the remaining capacity of lead-acid battery online testing system,which using DSP TMS320LF2407 implemented acquisition,processing and transmission of sensor's signal,while designed acquisition system based on LABVIEW.â‘£For the defects existing in the online testing system of remaining capacity of battery, found the relationship between the concentration electrolyte and the battery remaining capacity. Established the mathematical model between the sensor output voltage and electrolyte concentration. Studied transplantation of the BP neural network algorithm in the DSP microprocessor, achieved fuzzy estimate of remaining battery capacity, provided a guarantee for accurate real-time measurementThe results showed that the design of online examination system for state-of-Chargeof acid-lead based on DSP is stable performance, strong anti-interference and the SOC of lead-acid battery can be measured more accurately. This paper makes considerable progress in theory and application, and provides valuable reference in theoretical and engineering application to realize online testing of State-of-charge for Lead-Acid Battery.
